Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Building Science, Construction Management or related field
• Thorough knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods
• Experience reading blueprints, BIM drawings, and specs

Responsibilities

• Leads projects and provides technical expertise to ensure safety and quality
• Coaches and develops direct reports with performance conversations
• Sets work sequences to meet schedules using equipment and personnel
• Monitors earned value and forecast completion
• Inspects work for conformance to specs
• Maintains safety observations and reduces hazards
• Practices LEAN principles (pull planning, look ahead, value mapping)
• Budgets projects with hour estimates and material takeoffs
• Resolves construction problems and advises management
• Coordinates with Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering and other departments
• Conducts pre-job planning meetings to clarify contract terms and requirements
