Job summary

Universal Health Services' Hickory Trail Hospital in DeSoto, TX is seeking a Lead Mental Health Technician. You will mentor new technicians, support unit routines, and help address safety concerns promptly. Weekend shifts, overtime, and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; CNA preferred; related therapeutic degree desirable.
• Experience: Several years in psychiatric patient care with staff development preferred.
• Licensure: CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead MHT role providing hands-on leadership to keep patient care safe, consistent, and organized.
• Mentor and train other technicians; communicate needs to nursing leadership.
• Ensure expectations are understood and carried out; help identify gaps in coverage.
• Support unit routines, patient observation, and therapeutic interactions.
