Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Temple, Texas, offering inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and seniors. The Lead Mental Health Tech plans and implements activity services as part of the treatment team and helps train new MHTs to maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA preferred; degree in social work, recreational therapy, or related therapeutic discipline highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Precept new Mental Health Techs and mentor 10 new MHTs yearly if available.
• Assist with training in Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal de-escalation.
• Mentor MHTs to perform duties per policy and training.
• Observe and document changes in a patient’s appearance, behavior, or progress toward treatment goals.
