Job summary

Arbour Hospital – Quincy location is seeking a Lead Mental Health Associate to support a compassionate, patient-centered team in a psychiatric setting. You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and provide routine patient care while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, age-specific approaches, and proactive communication of behavioral changes. Weekend work is required, with shift differentials for evenings and nights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Behavioral health/psychology/human services study preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment.
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors.
• Assist with patient groups and activities.
• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs.
• Provide trauma informed and age-specific care.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.
