Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Wesley Chapel is expanding, seeking a Laboratory Operations Leader to oversee daily testing, quality control, and regulatory compliance in a state-of-the-art facility opening Fall 2027.

The role leads medical laboratory scientists and technicians, coordinates activities, performs complex tests across hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and molecular diagnostics, and provides guidance to staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Florida licensure as CLT or equivalent required; MT/MLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and mentors a team of medical laboratory scientists and technicians.
• Coordinates daily laboratory activities and delegates tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
• Performs and oversees a wide range of laboratory tests across hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, transfusion, and molecular diagnostics.
