Job summary

This role leads daily lab operations, mentors staff, and ensures accuracy across hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and molecular testing to support patient care from day one.

The position is full-time with night shifts (7pm–7:30am), requiring strong regulatory knowledge and collaboration with clinicians to deliver reliable test results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Florida licensure as CLT/MLS or applicable licensure/certification.
• MT/MLS certification (ASCP or approved agency).

Responsibilities

• Leads and mentors a team of medical laboratory scientists and technicians.
• Coordinates daily laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow.
• Performs a wide range of laboratory tests (hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, transfusion, molecular diagnostics).
• Analyzes and interprets complex test results for accuracy.
• Implements and monitors quality control measures.
• Oversees operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Prepares detailed reports and communicates findings to healthcare providers.
• Provides technical guidance to staff and trainees.
