Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Florida’s #1 pediatric hospital, is expanding with a new state-of-the-art facility in Wesley Chapel. The Laboratory leadership role oversees daily operations, leads a team of scientists, and ensures quality across hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, transfusion, and molecular diagnostics.

The position requires a Bachelor's in medical lab science, 5+ years of clinical lab experience, and Florida licensure/certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory science is required; one year of relevant education may substitute for one year of required work experience, or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may substitute for one year of required education.

Responsabilités

• Oversees the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of testing and analysis, and serving as a team lead to the laboratory team.
• Leads and mentors a team of medical laboratory scientists and technicians.
• Coordinates daily laboratory activities and delegates tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
• Performs and oversees a wide range of laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, transfusion activities, and molecular diagnostics.
• Analyzes and interprets complex test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Implements and monitors quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Oversees the operation and maintenance of sophisticated laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Prepares detailed reports and communicates findings to healthcare providers.
• Provides technical guidance and support to laboratory staff and trainees.
