Job summary

MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist to oversee clinical testing across multiple laboratory sections, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will coordinate training, maintain instruments, and drive quality control to support timely patient care.

Requirements include a Medical Technology degree and national certification, with state licensure within six months and several years of lab leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with approved certification.
• Three years of academic study with 90 semester hours in biological/physical sciences and 12 months training, plus national certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/physical/biological science with at least 1 year relevant experience and national certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory testing in multiple areas (blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology).
• Perform and review quality control; maintain instrumentation and records.
• Coordinate instruction and competency testing for new staff and students; ensure regulatory compliance and timely patient care.
