Job summary

Desert View Hospital in Nevada seeks a Lab Manager to direct and coordinate all general laboratory sections, including staffing, training, and oversight of technical and phlebotomy staff. The role requires ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost containment across multiple sites, with strong focus on CAP/state readiness.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field with NV board certification and at least three years of laboratory leadership experience in an acute care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with Board certification recognized by the State of NV.
• Three years laboratory leadership experience in acute care hospital.
• Experience with regulatory agencies, project management, staffing/scheduling, inventory management, and accreditation of laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and oversee all general laboratory sections (specimen collection, hematology, coagulation, Blood Bank, chemistry, etc.).
• Monitor test reporting, quality control, quality assurance, policies, procedures, staffing, supplies, and equipment installation.
• Staff, train, and oversee technical and phlebotomy staff; maintain administrative, customer, employee, physician, and vendor relations.
• Ensure lab services follow best practices with focus on quality, efficiency, and cost containment; maintain CAP and State inspection readiness.
• Oversee multiple locations and coordinate with other departments.
