Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from a four-year college or university.
• MLS Certification or ASCP eligible preferred.
• Pattern I/II experience requirements for non-waived testing as described.

Responsibilities

• Coach and technical resource to team members, ensuring compliance, problem solving, education, and unit cohesion.
• Perform laboratory testing compliantly and maintain regulatory knowledge for job duties.
• Maintain QC, calibrations, and documentation of procedures and maintenance.
• Identify and correct issues affecting test performance and report to supervisors.
• Train staff, students, and residents; conduct orientation and ongoing education.
• Validate/verify new assays and assist with data analysis for Medical Director review.
• Develop and update procedure manuals; ensure annual reviews are conducted.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

MLS Certification or ASCP eligible

2–3 years of laboratory training/experience for non-waived testing
