Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs programs at medical centers and/or satellite outpatient clinics and has full supervisory responsibility for supervising at least one subordinate team leader.
• Assign and evaluate the work of subordinate staff.
• Resolve complex problems to ensure patient services are met.
• Evaluate new products, equipment, and systems to recommend improved operations.
• Identify educational or training needs.
• Make selections for recruitment purposes and evaluate performance.
• Be responsible for planning and directing MSA activities and extracting/analyzing data for reports.
• Work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary care model and assure appointment schedules are maintained.
• Assist with contingency plans for clinic access and adjust appointments as needed.
• Promote patient identification, collect insurance information, and support revenue processes.
• Ensure health/administrative information is integrated into CPRS and handle inquiries per privacy rules.
• Participate in daily teamlet huddles and weekly meetings; rotate participation as needed.
• Independently manage duties with minimal supervision and set priorities to meet patient needs.
• Assist in Beneficiary Travel Program and Health Benefits Office; other duties as assigned.
• Supervise MSAs at Community Based Outpatient Clinics; travel within VASNHCS catchment area.
• Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday; Telework: No; Virtual: Not a virtual position.
