Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Radiation Oncology team seeks a Certified Medical Physicist to lead treatment planning, QA, and safety. You will design plans, ensure accuracy, collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists, and drive continuous improvement under leadership oversight.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, implementation of new technologies, and high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary setting at our Las Vegas site.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
• Certification by American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology Physics or Canadian College of Medical Physics.
• Licensure in the state of practice as required.
• For care sites in Colorado RMP/QI/QE(t) required.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and evaluate radiation treatment plans to ensure precise and effective patient care.
• Provide expert technical guidance for radiation therapy procedures, technologies, and treatment delivery.
• Partner with Radiation Oncology leadership and clinical teams to maintain comprehensive quality management and quality assurance programs.
• Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to ensure regulatory compliance with standards and safety.
• Support the implementation of new technologies, treatment techniques, and process improvements that enhance patient outcomes.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous learning within the Radiation Oncology department.
