Job summary

Intermountain Health in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Certified Medical Physicist to lead treatment planning, quality assurance, and radiation safety within the Radiation Oncology department.

You will design and optimize treatment plans, provide expert guidance on procedures and technologies, coordinate with the Radiation Safety Officer, and contribute to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health or Medical Physics from an accredited institution.
• Certification by ABR or ABMP in Radiation Oncology Physics or CCMPh.
• Licensure in the state of practice as required.
• RAM license eligibility for HDR and related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and evaluate radiation treatment plans to ensure precise patient care.
• Provide expert technical guidance for radiation therapy procedures, technologies, and treatment delivery.
• Coordinate with leadership to maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs.
• Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to ensure regulatory compliance and highest safety standards.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and process improvements.
• Perform calibrations and quality control on therapeutic radiation machines and coordinate with other staff.
• Write policies and procedures and participate in staff in-services as needed.
