Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Technical Specialist to support the Lab Operations in Trenton. The role ensures accurate test results, assists the Section Head with regulatory compliance, and participates in instrument performance analyses and data reviews.

The successful candidate will perform QC, support CAP inspections, help build new tests in the LIS, and coordinate with staff to improve workflows while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory sciences or a science-related field.
• ASCP or equivalent CLS certification.
• Five years of clinical laboratory experience with responsibility for instrument troubleshooting, interface builds, supply chain management and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Quality Control (QC) review and establish new QC ranges for reagent lots.
• Lead CAP inspections and serve as lead contact within the designated laboratory section.
• Review and submit surveys; assist in biases and failed survey responses.
• Assist in LIS system builds and annual LIS instrument auto-verification validation.
• Investigate reagent and instrument recalls and respond to customer complaints.
• Attend operator training and share knowledge with staff; review errors for non-compliance.
