Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist to perform duties of MLS/MT and lead lab operations. The role includes operating instrumentation, inventory management, vendor relations, and protocol development to ensure accurate, safe lab performance.

The candidate will train staff, troubleshoot issues, and drive quality standards in compliance with accreditation and safety requirements across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or equivalent.
• ASCP/AMT certification preferred/required based on program.
• Minimum four years of relevant laboratory experience with moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as assigned.
• Manage inventory, vendor relations, and procedure development.
• Provide technical leadership and training on lab protocols.
• Coordinate Point-of-Care activities and audits across sites.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and safety regulations.
