Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a skilled laboratory professional to perform comprehensive lab procedures including quality control, specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting of results. You will also assist in evaluating new techniques and training staff on equipment and software.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and an MLT certification (or eligible) with commitment to certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in medical technology required.
• Experience: 1 year internships meeting requirement preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: MLT certification (or eligible) from ASCP or AMT; must obtain within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform all laboratory procedures including quality control, specimen handling, processing, testing and reporting.
• Assist in evaluation of new or modified techniques as needed.
• Provide orientation and training to other personnel on equipment and software.
