Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist for the Evening shift. You will provide orientation, training, and guidance to staff while ensuring accurate testing and adherence to safety protocols.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science and at least 2+ years of experience in a clinical lab. You will perform high-complexity tests, manage equipment, and contribute to quality control initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of technical experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Ability to perform high-complexity testing and adhere to CLIA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides orientation and training to new employees and students.
• Guides technical and support staff; resolves customer service issues within guidelines.
• Follows safety policies including PPE, handwashing, and chemical handling.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Leads quality control and quality assurance testing.
• Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Performs pre-analytical activities such as specimen collection and calibration.
