Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist at Hackettstown Medical Center to supervise specimen processing, complex testing, and result reporting. You will ensure QC, regulatory compliance, and cross-team collaboration to support patient care and efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Meet CLIA personnel requirements for High Complexity testing.
• MD/DO with license, or doctoral/master/bachelor/associate in related field.
• US equivalency for foreign credentials accepted.
• Minimum 1 year high complexity lab experience; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee specimen processing, accessioning, and testing per SOPs.
• Ensure accurate result reporting and quality control.
• Utilize HIS and LIS systems across lab workflow.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment per SOPs.
• Conduct verification/validation of assays and instrumentation.
• Support proficiency testing and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and coach lab team, manage scheduling as needed.
• Monitor inventory and maintain safety procedures.
