Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Coding Specialist to provide primary support to the Coding Supervisor, oversee coding, abstracting, and reimbursement processes across Baptist Health facilities. Qualifications

• Requires AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist credential; RHIA/RHIT preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years inpatient, outpatient surgery, ancillaries and ER coding in a large health care system.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary support to Coding Supervisor and supervise coding workflows.
• Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT coding conventions, and regulations.
• Monitor reports, identify opportunities for improvement, train coding staff, and conduct coding research.
• Ensure timely processing and accurate coding across Baptist Health facilities.
