Job summary

The role requires strong English communication and an Associate’s degree (preferred). Prior experience in physician outpatient coding is desirable, with knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/HCPCS helpful. This position is onsite in Memphis, TN.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred in related field.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Codes diagnoses and procedures from patient records.
• Abstracts information for reimbursement, statistics, and reporting purposes.
• Serves as a resource to physicians, office staff, clinical documentation specialists, case managers, etc.
• Completes all requirements for assigned goals.
