Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program, or relevant certification.
• Certification exam (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT or NHA) or 1 year patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide workflow and/or assign tasks to other clinical staff.
• Assist management with supervisory activities and training.
• Serve as department super user for Epic Care.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical/non-clinical functions.
• Guide routine meetings to communicate procedural changes.
• Perform routine front-office tasks and maintain patient records.
• Prepare patient rooms and assist with exams and procedures.
• Assist with patient intake, vitals, and specimen collection.
