Qualifications

• 1-3 years Medical Assistant experience in a medical office preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Virtua Health Medical Assistant Program.
• Must have current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
• In the state of DE, certification is required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates Chart Review/ Pre-visit planning efforts, ensuring all recent clinical documents are available at the time of visit.
• Collaborates with Practice Manager to conduct Daily Huddles and Weekly Care Team meetings to review population health data.
• Oversees patient flow and ensure Medical Assistants perform duties such as vitals, phlebotomy, vaccines, and basic testing.
• Coordinates care transitions and ensures timely follow-up visits after hospital discharge or ED visits.
• Maintains vaccine management and regulatory testing accuracy and compliance.
