Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient examinations by collecting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. You will assist physicians, perform phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, and manage basic clinical tasks under supervision.

The role requires 0–2 years in a medical office, HS diploma or MA program completion, and MA certification with BLS. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and chief complaint.
• Perform phlebotomy, vaccines, and diagnostic tests under physician supervision.
• Screen and direct patient calls; communicate prescriptions and test results as directed.
• Maintain regulatory testing and ensure clinical equipment is accurate and compliant.
• Assist front desk with registering patients, billing, and scheduling.
