Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis seeks a Lead Medical Assistant for the physician office. You will lead Medical Assistants I & II, conduct in-service trainings, guide clinical staff, and ensure quality of care during patient visits.

Under supervision, you will manage staffing, participate in interviewing, perform clinical and clerical duties, administer vaccines and meds under physician direction, and uphold infection control and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills for MA team oversight.
• Experience leading clinical staff and conducting training.
• Proficient in EMR documentation and visits workflow.
• Knowledge of vaccines, meds administration and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medical Assistants I & II and conduct in-service trainings.
• Provide guidance, solve problems, and research issues for the team.
• Perform audits as requested by manager and assist scheduling.
• Participate in interviewing and evaluations of Associates.
• Handle clerical tasks: appointments, imaging labs and authorizations.
• Collect patient data, assist with exams, injections, EKGs, and venipuncture.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain infection control and inventory.
• Administrate meds and vaccines under physician direction.
