Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or diploma preferred.
• 3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• HEARTSAVER CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients throughout visits and accompanies to exam rooms.
• Performs clerical tasks: scheduling, lab calls, prior authorizations.
• Records patient data including vitals and medical history.
• Performs EKGs, removes sutures, and dresses wounds as directed.
• Administers medications and immunizations under supervision.
• Maintains infection control and prepares exam rooms between visits.
• Orders and restocks supplies for exam rooms.
• Provides patient education as directed by the supervising physician.
