Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Plainville, MA is looking for a Lead Medical Assistant to support the Practice Manager. You will mentor and train Medical Assistants, manage provider schedules, review clinical documentation, and help improve patient flow while delivering quality care.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office.
• Graduate of a two-year accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR and medical terminology; ability to review clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, and handle procedures and prescription renewals.
• Triage patient phone calls, review charts and lab results, schedule patients and respond to provider messages.
• Mentor and lead clinical/administrative questions; supervise and train staff with Practice Manager.
• Assist with prior authorizations and referrals; manage clinical documentation.
• Coordinate inventory and supply stock; improve patient outcomes with office staff.
