GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore, Maryland, is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in various healthcare settings. Duties include direct patient care such as taking vital signs, performing laboratory tests, and scheduling appointments. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program, and BLS CPR certification.
This role offers competitive pay, with hourly rates ranging from $17.64 to $27.48 based on qualifications and experience.
Under direct supervision, assists physician in providing direct patient care and evaluation of patients in an office. Performs direct patient care such as phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, wound care, medication administration and vital signs. Maintains supplies and schedules patient appointments.
Medical Assistants provide critical clinical and administrative support in primary care and specialty practices, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient‑centered care. Responsibilities include clinical procedures, patient flow assistance, and accurate documentation. Opportunities are available across primary care, specialty practices, and a centralized float pool.
We may consider candidates with alternative clinical experience instead of a formal MA program, including EMTs, PA students, and nursing students.
