Job summary

Holyoke Medical Center is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to serve as on-site resource for staff and to perform duties within the MA scope. You will room patients, take vitals, update EMR, prepare for provider visits, assist with procedures, and handle injections and medications.

Two years of MA experience and an accredited MA program are required, with CPR and MA certification within 6 months. This on-site role offers a competitive package and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible full-time

Qualifications

High school graduate with accredited medical assistant training.
Current CPR certification and MA certification within 6 months of hire.
Two years of medical assistant experience in patient care or clinic.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Room patients, take vital signs, update EMR, prep charts and document care.
Assist with examinations, injections, and routine clinical tasks.
Manage prescriptions, refills, referrals, and follow-up care.
Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and quality documentation.
Coordinate schedules and support staff in collaboration with practice leadership.
