Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years as a certified MA or 7 years total with at least 3 years certified.
• Current BLS certification at time of hire or within 30 days.
• Proven ability to mentor and train others.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Proficient in electronic health records.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Ability to stay calm and lead in emergencies.
• Flexibility to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties at expert MA level including wound care, specimen collection, and venipuncture.
• Trains and mentors MA staff.
• Spend 50% of time on clinic metrics/projects to drive workflow improvements.
• Coordinate patient care under provider guidance and clinic policies.
• Ensure infection prevention and HIPAA/privacy compliance.
• Organize exam rooms, stock supplies and maintain equipment.
• Deliver quality customer service and patient care continuity.
• Support other team members and maintain a positive clinic environment.
