Job summary

Friend Health is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to support daily clinic operations and provide leadership to the Medical Assistant team. The role combines clinical duties with staff training, workflow improvement, and quality assurance to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Ideal candidates bring CMA/RMA certification, CPR, 2+ years of CMA/RMA experience, and strong EHR skills (EPIC).

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA or RMA certification.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical CMA/RMA experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR systems, e.g. EPIC.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Medical Assistant staff at assigned site(s) and serve as primary point of contact.
• Coordinate MA schedules, assignments, and coverage for workflow efficiency.
• Provide training, onboarding, and mentorship to MAs.
• Monitor clinical quality and ensure compliance with protocols and documentation standards.
• Assist with process improvement, supply ordering, and inventory control.
• Facilitate communication and patient flow between staff and providers.
