Job summary

Orlando-Internal-Medicine is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant in Orlando, FL to support providers and lead MA team operations across several sites. The position requires travel to UBC, Palm Point, and Park Place, with home base at CFL Behavioral Hospital.

The Lead MA will help improve efficiency, coding accuracy, and care gap closure in value-based and post-acute settings. Responsibilities include provider chart prep, documentation support, QA collaboration, and mentoring the MA team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years clinical experience (SNF, post-acute, or value-based preferred).
• Experience with chart prep, care and coding gaps, and provider workflows.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support provider workflows and chart preparation.
• Assist with documentation, scribing, and note creation as needed.
• Identify and close care gaps; support coding and documentation accuracy.
• Partner with leadership on QA, auditing, ACO performance, and projects.
• Support internal meetings, agendas, and follow-up actions.
• Prepare case summaries for high-risk patients.
• Review orders in EMR (e.g., PCC) and coordinate care as needed.
• Support appeals and grievances documentation; train MA team and create training materials.
