Job summary

Groth Pain & Spine is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to guide our clinical support team, ensure smooth operations, and deliver high-quality patient care at multiple Long Island locations.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, train new Medical Assistants, coordinate daily workflows, document in EMR, and uphold infection control and practice policies while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Lead Medical Assistant with strong clinical skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and provide day-to-day guidance and support to the Medical Assistant team.
• Assist with training and onboarding new Medical Assistants and reinforce established clinical procedures.
• Help coordinate daily clinical workflows to ensure providers are supported and patient schedules run efficiently.
• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and other necessary clinical information.
• Assist providers with X-rays, clinical procedures, and other patient care needs, as appropriate to training and credentials.
• Prepare exam rooms, monitor inventory, and ensure clinical supplies are adequately stocked.
• Reinforce compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, and practice policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and management to address workflow concerns and improve team performance.
• Help maintain a professional, positive, and patient-focused clinical environment across practice locations as needed.
