Job summary

Shore Gastroenterology in Oakhurst, NJ is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Lead to supervise the MA team and coordinate daily clinical operations. You will support scheduling, rooming, and patient prep while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards.

You will mentor staff, manage inventories, and act as a liaison between clinical staff and management to optimize patient experience and workflow.

Qualifications

• Certification as CMA or RMA required.
• Minimum 3 years as Medical Assistant in clinical setting.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily activities of the MA team to ensure efficient clinical operations.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, rooming, and preparation to facilitate smooth patient flow and minimize wait times.
• Assist providers with clinical tasks: vital signs, patient prep for exams, medication administration as directed.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control, and policies.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to MAs for professional development.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
• Serve as liaison between MAs, clinical staff and management to improve processes.
• Document patient information accurately in EHR and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
