Job summary

Groth Pain & Spine, a premier pain management practice in Farmingdale, NY, seeks a Physician Assistant to join a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive pain care. Travel between multiple practice locations is required.

The role involves diagnosing, treating, and coordinating multimodal pain management strategies alongside board-certified physicians and a collaborative team of NPs, PAs, chiropractors, physical therapists, and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Current New York State PA licensure required.
• Experience in pain management or orthopedics a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic pain conditions.
• Perform comprehensive exams and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer trigger point injections, Botox, and joint injections.
• Prescribe medications and coordinate multimodal therapies (PT/OT, home programs).
• Facilitate referrals and coordinate care with other physicians and specialists.
• Build trust-based relationships with patients throughout their care journey.

What You'll Do

As a Physician Assistant at Groth Pain & Spine, you’ll manage a diverse caseload of patients experiencing acute, chronic, and post‑surgical pain. Your day‑to‑day will include:

• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, and chronic pain conditions
• Performing comprehensive physical examinations and developing individualized treatment plans
• Administering procedures such as trigger point injections, Botox, and joint injections
• Prescribing medications and coordinating multimodal treatment approaches, including physical and occupational therapy, home exercise programs, and minimally invasive interventions
• Facilitating referrals and coordinating care with collaborating physicians and specialists
• Building lasting, trust‑based relationships with patients throughout their care journey

• Current PA licensure in New York State
