Job summary

Pediatric Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide quality, team-based patient care under a clinician's supervision, supporting clinical and administrative tasks to promote pediatric health.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, vaccine administration, EMR documentation, patient education, and coordination of referrals. The role may involve clinic operations support, onboarding new staff, and occasional travel to other offices with company policy reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma/Certification required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Driver's license required upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• For foreign doctors, a BS in General Medicine from a regionally accredited university or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform MA I duties with increased independence and accuracy.
• Prioritize patient flow and support clinic operations.
• Venipuncture and specimen collection; ensure proper labeling and processing.
• Administer medications and vaccines with minimal supervision.
• Conduct testing and screenings (EKG, spirometry, PPD).
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatments, medications, and vaccines.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-authorizations, and follow-up care.
• Support inventory management and EMR documentation.
• Assist with minor procedures under clinician direction.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection control efforts.
