Job summary

EPIC Health System LLC is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to strengthen clinical leadership and mentoring within a fast-paced outpatient practice in Florida. The role focuses on staff development, workflow optimization, quality assurance, and hands-on patient care.

The ideal candidate will have MA experience, EHR proficiency (Athena), and strong communication and organizational skills to improve patient throughput and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient care procedures, and outpatient operations.
• Experience with Athena EHR and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to Medical Assistants.
• Lead by example in professionalism, accountability, patient care standards, and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and cross-training of new team members.
• Train and validate competency for procedures, point-of-care testing, injections, specimen collection, and workflow processes.
• Conduct ongoing weekly/monthly skills checks and reinforce compliance with clinical standards.
• Support leadership with staff coaching, performance feedback, workflow reinforcement, and development planning.
• Assist with troubleshooting workflow barriers and identify operational improvement opportunities.
• Support implementation and adoption of new workflows, initiatives, and clinical processes.
