Job summary

iHealth's Almara Women’s Health | OGI division seeks a Lead Clinical Assistant to support patient care in the Maple Grove clinic and assist the Clinical Assistant team with daily operations.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with start times from 7:00–8:30 am and occasional Saturday mornings in Maple Grove. Prior MA experience and a willingness to obtain limited-scope x-ray licensing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program or MLT program.
• 1+ years' experience of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting.
• Willing to train Medical Assistant that has completed their Externship.
• X-ray licensed or willing to obtain limited scope x-ray license to perform Bone Density scans, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department daily operations and staff productivity; ensure excellent patient service and delivery of care.
• Coordinate department work schedules; ensure proper staffing levels and coverage for breaks.
• Train and assist Medical Assistants as needed; maintain training policies and processes.
• Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Measure vital signs and document in patient charts; obtain blood specimens via venipuncture or finger sticks.
