Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a D272 Test Supervisor to lead the Shipyard Test Organization. The role requires managing testing programs for nuclear-powered submarines, mentoring Test Directors, and ensuring strict adherence to procedures and safety standards.

You will coordinate with multiple departments, supervise test technicians, and maintain comprehensive test documentation to certify readiness for critical operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant mechanical test or Shipyard Test experience.
• 4+ years of mechanical, maintenance or shipyard experience.
• 4+ years Navy experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan Operations Worklist (OWL) 24 hours prior to execution.
• Partner with Assistant Chief Test Eng and Chief Test Engineer for testing within a 3 week window.
• Provide direct supervision of test technicians' activities on the ship.
• Review and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Maintain detailed logs of work completed and test interruptions.
• Review ripout retest and test form data before signing work complete.
