Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years in electrical/electronic trades or shipyard test experience.
• Preferred 5 years electrical experience and prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electronics Test team in testing Combat and Weapons Systems cabling and components onboard submarines.
• Coordinate Department 278 manning with project Chief Test Engineers.
• Serve as primary contact for testing needs between Chief Test Engineer and Technicians.
• Interface with engineering, ships' management, quality, trades, and Navy personnel.
• Lead the team to achieve safety, quality, cost, schedule and process improvements.
• Assign work, mentor employees and assess performance.
• Supervise attendance, training, qualifications and disciplinary actions.
• Verify work complies with policies and procedures.
• Ensure certification test procedures are performed correctly.
• Interface with union leadership to resolve issues.
• Maintain electronic test equipment; calibration schedules, purchasing and maintenance.
