Job summary

Inteplast Group Corporation is seeking a Sr. 1 Mechanical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and monitor equipment on the extrusion line and printing press. You will work closely with Operators to learn processes and operate safely within a manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical schematics, PLC logic, and basic welding/machining skills, plus strong communication and multi-tasking abilities. Flexibility for non-standard hours and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Interpreting electrical schematics and drawings efficiently.
• Capable of programming drives and understanding PLC logic.
• Basic welding and machining skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety precautions and report hazards; participate in safety meetings.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical/mechanical equipment failures.
• Utilize hand and pneumatic tools, welders, grinders, drill presses for major repairs.
• Test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Possible off-shift, overtime, and weekend work as needed.
• Travel for training or support as required.
