Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to oversee day-to-day activities of crews on commercial construction projects.

You will guide budgeting, scheduling, and ensure customer satisfaction while performing hands-on skilled construction tasks. The role requires supervising large crews (20+), reading design drawings and contract documents, and coordinating with engineering, estimating, and project teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a General Foreman/Superintendent or equivalent
• Ability to supervise large crews (20+)
• Experience supervising large teams
• Knowledge of man-hour reports, job cost reports, workforce planning and estimating
• Advanced understanding of construction cost control, forecasting and goal setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across disciplines
• OSHA 30 certification and CPR
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings, guides, specifications, contract docs and site coordination

Responsibilities

• Supervise field crew, subcontractor and craft activities including construction methods, manpower, material quantities and scheduling
• Coordinate work of different crafts and company departments
• Perform a wide range of skilled construction tasks
• Liaise with engineering, estimating and project teams to ensure draw/spec/schedule compliance
• Coordinate with Quality Control and Engineering for materials, inspections and support craft activities
• Resolve construction issues including productivity, craftsmanship and safety, and document corrective actions
• Perform other duties as assigned
