Job summary

Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for large ground-up data center construction in Richmond, VA. This role focuses on leading mechanical activities, coordinating equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on PM experience on complex projects, a mechanical engineering degree, and strong skills in estimating, Excel, and project management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Building Construction, or Construction Engineering Management.
• Hands-on PM experience on commercial, heavy industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates.
• Handle purchasing and release of non-commodity items.
• Oversee submittal, operations, maintenance, and closeout processes.
• Negotiate and price all change orders.
• Develop initial project schedules.
• Submit RFIs and review responses for scope impact.
• Provide project information to the Construction Manager, job Superintendent, Fabrication Division, and Start-up Supervisor.
