Job summary

Comfort Temp Company in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to own commercial HVAC projects from turnover through closeout. You will drive profitability, coordinate with estimators, vendors, and field teams, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires 10+ years in HVAC/mechanical construction and 3+ years in a leadership role, plus strong knowledge of systems, drawings, and contracts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial HVAC or mechanical construction and related field leadership.
• 3+ years in a management role such as project management or operations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems, and controls coordination.
• Proven experience managing budgets, labor, schedules, and change orders.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Clear communication with field crews, GCs, owners, vendors, and leadership.
• Sound judgment in planning, negotiation, and decision-making.
• Ability to coach and develop team members while driving results.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan the work with scope, estimates, budgets, drawings, and schedules.
• Protect project profitability through cost tracking, purchasing, and change orders.
• Support field teams with labor planning, procurement, and logistics.
• Communicate with general contractors, owners, engineers, and vendors.
• Close out projects with RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and documentation.
