Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of MEP consulting experience in mechanical design.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience designing HVAC systems for complex facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and energy-efficient design practices.
• Experience with Revit and BIM-based delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design efforts for projects from renovations to new construction.
• Manage multiple projects with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Conduct field investigations and building systems surveys.
• Develop HVAC system designs, calculations, equipment sizing, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Prepare and review calculations, specifications, narratives, reports, drawings, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, architectural, and owner stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Support construction administration activities including submittals and site observations.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and firm standards.
• Balance workloads with technical leadership and identify opportunities for additional services.
