Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead engineering projects and drive mechanical design from kickoff to customer plant acceptance. You will guide internal and external teams, ensure schedules and budgets are met, and coordinate with Project Managers to satisfy customer requirements and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in automated assembly systems, including fastening applications, and can translate customer needs into cost-effective,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BSME) from an accredited four-year college or university with 5 years Machine Design experience or 10+ years Machine Design experience.
• Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must have project engineering experience.
• Proficient working knowledge of Solidworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects and mechanical design activities from kickoff through customer plant acceptance.
• Provide technical direction to internal and external teams supporting Atlas Copco solutions.
• Establish project priorities and collaborate with Project Managers to meet schedule and budget.
• Review engineering designs and ensure compliance with customer specs and standards.
• Support equipment builds, system integration, startup activities, and commissioning.
