Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced professional to lead mechanical and construction management on industrial data center projects across multiple sites in the United States. The role requires coordinating design, schedule, and scope, with up to 50% travel to current and future locations.

The candidate will manage bid packaging, contractor engagement, and cross-disciplinary reviews, bringing deep knowledge of drawings, specifications, codes, and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• Minimum 8 years in Mechanical engineering or 15 years in construction management for industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings and specs for construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide resolving design and constructability concerns.
• Identify schedule and cost-saving opportunities from existing design.
• Engage trade partners in early contractor involvement during design.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of mechanical scope and sequencing.
• Identify risks for long-lead activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review bid packages for contractor awards.
• Coordinate full WBS with stakeholders.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability.
