Job summary

Jacobs is hiring for a senior role supporting data center projects across the United States with up to 50% travel. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, review design for constructability, and drive early contractor engagement to optimize schedule and cost.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in mechanical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management, plus a bachelor’s in engineering and related training. Expect a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• Certified technical training is a plus.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications for construction.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance resolving in-progress design and constructability concerns.
• Identify opportunities for schedule/cost savings based on design and modularization.
• Select trade partners for early contractor engagement during design.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of mechanical scope for sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedule.
• Develop and review construction bid packages with project teams.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for full WBS development and scope understanding.
• Assist with reviews of Vendor Data Requirements submittals for constructability.
