Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking a Senior Mechanical Operations lead to own and optimize the thermal and mechanical infrastructure across its hyperscale data centers. You will drive site readiness, review designs for operational viability, and guide the commissioning-to-operations handover for new sites.

The role requires deep expertise with chilled water systems, chiller plants, CDU, and direct liquid cooling, plus experience with MOPs and RCA. Join a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with critical mechanical systems and thermal management for AI workloads.
• Experience with chilled water systems, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC, and CDU.
• Authored high-risk mechanical MOPs and led root cause analyses of cooling events.
• Ability to assess site readiness, perform audits, and raise standards.
• Experience teaching mechanical readiness to teams before site activation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the most senior technical authority for mechanical and cooling systems across hyperscale data centers.
• Lead site assessments and operational readiness ahead of site activation.
• Review designs for operational feasibility and feed learnings back to design.
• Be the senior voice on chiller and liquid-cooling architectures.
• Own commissioning-to-operations handover for new sites.
• Draft and approve high-risk mechanical MOPs and EOPs and lead RCAs.
