Job summary

RQC, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical General Foreman to lead mechanical trades on DoD projects in the Southeast, based out of the Jacksonville, FL area. The role involves supervising Pipefitters, Plumbers, Sheet Metal Installers, and trainees, ensuring work meets codes and project specs under supervision of Piping Superintendent and Project Manager.

We offer medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match. Travel to project sites throughout the Southeast will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Construction management courses preferred.
• Five+ years as Mechanical Foreman on projects ≥ $400k (commercial/industrial).
• Five+ years of field work installing mechanical systems (Piping, Plumbing, HVAC).
• Experience with soldering/brazing copper, welding various metals, duct work and air-leak testing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical trades crews (Pipefitters, Plumbers, Sheet Metal Installers).
• Ensure work complies with codes and project specs under guidance from Piping Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Implement safety practices on site and manage field operations.
• Willingness to travel to Southeast project sites as assigned.
