Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Henderson, NV seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead the Mechanical Discipline on large mining and industrial projects, driving technical excellence and client engagement from proposal to delivery.

You will mentor engineers, manage design calculations, coordinate with process/structural/electrical teams, support business development, and ensure safe, compliant, and profitable project execution. A US PE license and 15+ years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 15+ years of experience in mining/heavy industrial projects.
• U.S. PE license (Nevada preferred, or reciprocity).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Act as Mechanical Discipline Lead on mining and industrial projects.
• Lead and supervise engineering deliverables (calculations, drawings, etc.).
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Review and approve design calculations and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with process, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Support construction, commissioning and field activities as required.
